North Tacoma has both ends of the spectrum in regards to housing. It has high end luxury homes, and it also has affordable starter homes in low income areas. Most of the luxury estate here overlooks Commencement Bay, and the rivers that extend south on the west side of Tacoma. North Tacoma is generally on the north side of Highway 16, and north of 6th Avenue which becomes Division Avenue.
